Best Places to Visit in Amer / Amber Fort

In this palace, you will see a lot of underground cellars, to which no one is allowed to go. In this cellar, the kings used to keep their treasures, grains, and weapons.


Inside the palace are the royal rooms of the king and separate royal rooms for all the 12 queens. Which has a lot of royal carvings. There are special routes to reach all 12 queens. In which only the king was allowed to go. Inside the palace, you will see pictures of lotus flowers on every side. Because the lotus flower is considered a symbol of Hinduism.


There was a special arrangement for the queens. No man was allowed to walk around the rooms of the queens. The eunuchs were also deployed to protect them. Bathrooms and toilets for the queens are also built around their rooms.


Apart from this, there are also royal rooms for the guests to stay in, in which the zamindars, merchants, messengers, and kings from other places lived. Artisans and servants working in the palaces were also allowed to live in the palaces.

Gates

Although this palace has many gates. But the kings of the fort used to come inside the palace from the sun gate itself. After the war, all the main forces, including the king, entered the palace from the lion gate. So that they can show themselves like a lion. That is why Singh was written as a surname of those kings.

Ganesh Dwar is the most beautiful gate of the fort. To reach the personal rooms of kings and queens, one has to go through the Ganesh gate. Ganeshji's statue is attached above this gate. You can also see many beautiful carvings on the whole gate.
