Near Nizamuddin Railway Station, the Waste to Wonder Park is the most popular park for its miniature of the world's 7 wonders. Now the Dinosaur Park is also gaining popularity for its Dinosaur which is built by waste materials. Phase 2 is the extended area of Waste to Wonder Park, known as Dinosaur Park because this is based on Dinosaurs. Many types of dinosaurs have been built in the dinosaur park which is spread over 3.5 acres. Like all the seven wonders built in Waste to Wonder Park, all these dinosaurs have been made from waste materials.

Dinosaur Park - Waste to Wonder Park

The dinosaur park was inaugurated by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena on 8 February 2023. About 250 tons of scraps and waste items have been used for the dinosaurs to build in this park. The MCD said that this park is the first park in the world that influences people to reuse waste material. The total amount spent to build a dinosaur park is 2.70 crore.


The dinosaur park has replicas of about 15 different dinosaur species such as Coelophysis, Brontosaurus, Velociraptor, Tsintausaurus, einosuchus, Deinonychus, Rajasaurus, Prenocepahale, Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, Amargasaurus, Spinosaure, Tyrannosaurus, Diplodocus and tegosaurus. Some of which are movable and some are fixed replicas. Some replicas have also installed a sound system, which emits sounds like real dinosaurs.

To make phase 2 better than before, new types of trees, swings and sound systems have been installed. No other ticket will be required to come to Dinosaur Park as it is part of Waste to Wonder Park. After the launch of the Dinosaur Park, the number of tourists here has doubled. After this success, the government is planning to build more parks in Delhi based on waste material.
